Here we explain the types of personal data we may collect when you interact with One Wavelength Ltd directly, or via their trading name of 1WL Agency.\u00a0 Reference to any name shall, in this privacy notice, refer to both names. It explains how we handle data and how we keep it secure.<\/p>\n

1. Legal Processing<\/h3>\n

The General Data Protection Regulation states there are several legal reasons why a company such as ourselves may collect and process personal data. They are:<\/p>\n

Contractual<\/em> \u2013 Processing personal data to fulfil an order, deliver a service or to comply with our contractually agreed obligations.<\/p>\n

Legal Compliance<\/em> \u2013 If the law requires it, we may need to collect and process your data. An example might be to provide details of wrongdoing to law enforcement.<\/p>\n

Legitimate Interest<\/em> \u2013 Under certain circumstances we store and process personal data to pursue interests that are legitimate to running our business. These circumstances we believe to be reasonably expected considering the nature of our business. This does not impact your freedom or rights. E.g. using your postal or email details to send direct marketing information on content, products and services that might interest you, with the aim of raising awareness of our business to you and your business.<\/p>\n

  • When you book any kind of appointment with us or book to attend an event, for example a meeting to discuss an opportunity.<\/li>\n
  • When you choose to complete any surveys we send you.<\/li>\n
  • When you\u2019ve given a third-party permission to share the information, they hold about you with us.<\/li>\n
  • We may collect data from publicly-available sources where you have given your consent for them to share information publicly such as online directories or publicly available social media pages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    3. What sort of personal data do we collect?<\/h3>\n

    • Contact details at the company you work e.g. email address and phone number<\/li>\n
    • Details of your interactions with us through contact by phone, email or via our website.<\/li>\n
    • Details of your visits to our websites, and which site you came from to ours.<\/li>\n
    • Information gathered by the use of cookies in your web browser.<\/li>\n
    • To deliver the best possible web experience, we collect technical information such as your internet connection and browser as well as the country where your computer is located, the web pages viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on, and any search terms you entered.<\/li>\n
    • Your social media username, if you interact with us through those channels, to help us respond to you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      4. How and why do we use your personal data?<\/h3>\n

      We want to give you the best possible experience. By referencing the data we have about you, we\u2019re better able to offer you content, products and services that are most likely to be of interest you.<\/p>\n

      GDPR allows this as part of our legitimate interest in understanding existing and potential customers so we only provide relevant information and can maintain the highest levels of service.<\/p>\n

      You decide how we use your data, and you\u2019ll find details in the \u2018What are my rights?\u2019 section below, however, if you choose not to share your personal data with us, or refuse certain contact permissions, we may not be able to deliver the best experience.<\/p>\n

      Here\u2019s how we\u2019ll use your personal data and why:<\/p>\n

If we don\u2019t collect your personal data during negotiations or ordering, we won\u2019t be able comply with our legal obligations.       • To respond to your queries. We may also keep a record of these to inform any future communication with us and to demonstrate how we communicated with you previously. Our marketing will follow best practice as determined by the Information Commissioner\u2019s Office (ICO) when dealing with corporate subscribers under the PECR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
