The PATTA Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of screws, rivets, nails, and industrial hardware, serving customers globally across construction, aviation, and textile industries. Following a comprehensive rebrand and the launch of a new corporate website, PATTA's growth into new international markets created a requirement for the site to communicate effectively in additional languages.
PATTA's existing website had already been built to support multiple languages, launching with English, Spanish, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese. As the business extended its reach into new territories, the requirement arose to add Arabic for one market and Portuguese for another — each presenting its own distinct technical and linguistic challenges.
The complexity here was not simply one of translation. Different languages present different requirements around character sets, font compatibility, text length variation, and reading direction. Arabic, in particular, is read right to left, meaning the entire visual layout of the site — not just its text — needed to be mirrored accurately to deliver a genuinely native experience.

For each new language addition, we followed a consistent and methodical process. All current content was exported from the live site into structured documents and sent to professional translators. While translations were in progress, the site was content-frozen to prevent any changes from affecting the source material.
Once translations were returned, a full backup of the live site was taken and installed in our development environment. Content was then updated language by language, with careful attention to accuracy, formatting, and layout behaviour across all device sizes.
For Arabic, the process was significantly more involved. Implementing a right-to-left language at a professional standard requires more than reversing the text direction. Every structural element of the page — the placement of navigation, imagery, content columns, calls to action, and interface components — needed to be fully mirrored. This required bespoke front-end development across the site's templates to achieve an implementation that felt truly native rather than adapted.

Each new language version was delivered to the same standard as the site's native language content. Users accessing the Arabic and Portuguese versions encounter a website that behaves, reads, and presents itself as though it were designed specifically for them — not as a translated adaptation of an English original.
The additions extended PATTA's global reach and strengthened their ability to engage with customers and partners in their preferred language. The underlying WordPress architecture continues to support further language additions as the group's international expansion continues.
