British Loose Leaf (BLL) are manufacturers of bespoke stationery products — folders, boxes, and packaging — supplying clients across a wide range of sectors. With a product range that is inherently visual and a reputation built on craftsmanship and quality, their website needed to reflect the standard of work they produce and make it straightforward for prospective clients to explore their offering and get in touch.
Our relationship with British Loose Leaf began with a focused brief: producing landing pages for a Google Paid Advertising campaign. The success of those pages — and the design direction they established — created the platform for a broader conversation about what a full website redevelopment could achieve.
The existing BLL website was static and could not be edited without external development support. For a business that wanted to publish content regularly and keep its product information current, this was a significant limitation. The new site needed to give their team editorial independence, whilst bringing the design quality of the campaign landing pages across to a complete website presence.

We proposed building the new website on WordPress, which gave BLL the content management flexibility they needed alongside the design freedom to create something genuinely reflective of their brand. The landing pages had already established a design language that worked well — our task was to extend that across a full site with confidence and consistency.
We began by agreeing a sitemap and page structure with the BLL team, establishing a clear architecture before any design or build work began. This ensured the new site was organised logically from the outset, with room to grow as the business evolved.
Given the quality and volume of product imagery BLL had available, the design was built to showcase it. A thorough process of image selection, preparation, and optimisation ensured every page felt visually strong without compromising page loading speed.

The new British Loose Leaf website gave the business a modern, professional presence that lets the quality of their products lead the conversation. The improvement in design and structure led to a marked increase in online enquiries — something the business had not been generating effectively from the previous site.
The editorial independence provided by the WordPress CMS gave BLL's team the ability to keep content fresh and relevant without relying on external support for every change. The project was well received by BLL, reflected in a five-star Google review from their marketing consultant shortly after launch.
