When we were engaged to work on the Atlas Aluminium website, our first task was to understand its current state fully before recommending any course of action. The site had accumulated a range of technical issues related to neglected maintenance - outdated software, template inconsistencies, content formatting problems, and usability issues in key sections - that needed to be resolved before any redesign work could meaningfully begin.
Once those foundations were stabilised, the scope broadened. The homepage and the product range pages - the two most commercially important areas of the site - required complete redesign and rebuild. These pages are where trade professionals evaluate Atlas as a supplier and where consumers encounter the range for the first time. Both needed to be substantially better: clearer, faster, more compelling, and more effective at moving visitors towards an enquiry or a connection with an approved installer.
We began with a structured audit and remediation phase, addressing all neglect-related issues before any redesign work commenced. This included resolving template and content formatting problems across existing pages, correcting usability issues in the contact and news sections, and ensuring the technical foundations of the site were sound and stable.
With the site stabilised, we turned to the redesign of the homepage and product pages. Given the owner's existing familiarity with our approach from previous collaborative projects, there was a strong basis of trust and shared understanding to work from - which allowed the design process to move efficiently without extended back-and-forth.
The homepage redesign prioritised clarity and visual impact - Atlas Aluminium's products are inherently striking, and the homepage needed to reflect that whilst guiding visitors quickly into the relevant area of the range. The product pages were restructured to present each product category clearly, with improved content hierarchy, better imagery integration, and a more direct path to the enquiry or installer connection process.
Atlas Aluminium's website now operates on a stable, well-maintained foundation and presents the business's products with the clarity and visual quality that a premium fabricator deserves. The redesigned homepage and product pages deliver a substantially better experience for both trade professionals evaluating the range and consumers looking to understand their options and connect with an installer.
