Tim Steele has more than 18 years of development experience, including a role as Head of Development at a leading agency before co-founding One Wavelength Ltd with Andy Swindell in 2011.

His work has spanned the full spectrum of complex digital builds – front and back-end development for four international airports, multilingual websites with eCommerce and ERP integrations, and innovative projects including virtual product demonstration systems and touchscreen software for HMS Belfast museum.

Having built bespoke content management systems before WordPress became the dominant platform, Tim brings a depth of coding knowledge that most agencies simply can’t match. Today he oversees 1WL’s hosting platform, WordPress builds, plugin development and AI-driven integrations.

Tim’s philosophy is simple: never take the easy route if it compromises quality. Clients know him as the dependable problem-solver who thrives on complex technical challenges – with solutions built to be fast, secure and future-ready.

Outside of 1WL, Tim is the co-founder and lead developer of PluginFind – an independent WordPress plugin directory built to make finding and evaluating plugins faster and more reliable.
